Hey guys, stopped by Woolridge shoes today and spoke to Ivor. He brought in some beautiful Cheaneys and they're priced really well (cheaper than Holt Renfrew).

As an SFer I've become used to scouring the net for the best prices for shoes, but there's a charm to shopping at an independent shop, and Ivor is a great guy.

And for the Loakes, he offers recrafting services and actually has Loake branded replacement heals.

Want to make a small proposal to Toronto based SFers. What do you guys think of doing a meetup at Woolridge and doing a 'purchase bomb'? There's a couple of cool pubs close for afterwards. And frankly, I think it'd be great to support a local independent business owner who's actually passionate about his craft.

I'm in for a pair of Loake or Cheaneys.

    Anybody in for this?

it varies depending on the discount code, so sometimes the exclusions will apply to a brand when it wouldn't normally.

After Christmas last year the Bay at Queen put all remaining1000 Miles at 40% off, so I bought two pairs. I have no idea if it will happen again, but worth watching for

Too bad I missed it. Thanks - I'll keep an eye out. But I think Wolverine and AE are discontinued at the Bay on Queen, as I didn't find them when I visited the store a while back. They do carry church's now and a few pairs of shoes in the $500s range with subpar quality....leather was worse than Meermin's imho lol

Speaking of the The Bay and Loake shoes, I was in the The Bay a couple of weeks ago and while walking by the men's shoe section an SA handed me a Loake 1880 brochure and said "new in the store". I didn't see them anywhere, but was in a hurry and not there to browse shoes. Has anyone spotted these Loake's at The Bay, and if so, prices? I've seen the Church's.

Just to add, it's almost ridiculous what they achieve at their price point...my other shirts from J Crew now seem incredibly cheap compared to Spier & Mackay. They really deserve the praise they get here :)

I wonder if HBC stopped buying Wolverine and AE due to our low flying Cdn and replaced them with Loake 1880.

Boxing Day, Black Fleece will be 60% plus 15% kicker.

Went by today but didn't grab anything. The black grain C&J longwings (not boots) were apparently marked down to $229. 9D was the smallest size though.

Othertravel, I might be interested in a meet up and group buy. I'm looking for some new work shoes.

Hmmm, that's interesting - that's about 70% off. I asked an associate if the Black Fleece shoes were on sale at the RBC flagship store during lunch today, specifically the boots and she said not yet. She gave me her card and took down my name and told me to check with her next week. It would have been nice to know that the grain longings were on sale right then and there! Like, what the heck?

I didn't see the longwings on sale. But the SA did confirm the black fleece sale of 60 + 15.

But all other shoes will be 25 + 15.

As far as I know all BF was at least 40% off. Perhaps the SA I spoke with was wrong about the price of the longwings.

Traditionally, 15% off is the most you can get on Edward Green. This can be obtained any day of the week thorough a bb corporate card.

Sale pricing was not reflected on the tags.

    Not 75%, 66%.

First 60 off and then 15.
