I used the special "ebay whats it worth app" [IMG] (considering half the people a few bad apples here have no sense of humor, I am joking) It's really easy to look up completed listing on ebay..... Here is the link for all BURBERRY BLUE DOUBLE BREASTED that have ended in highest -> lowest $$ (red is unsold, green is sold). 89 have finished recently which should give you an idea of pricing.

    http://www.ebay.com/sch/Blazers-Spo..._from=R40&LH_Complete=1&_nkw=burberry&_sop=16

There are still multiple variables which you only understand by researching more and spending time looking stuff up.. size, length, condition age/label, are a few that come to mind quick. Photos make a HUGE difference (hence why I take in consignments [IMG])

OK, now back to thirfting talk.....If you have more questions, ask all you want in the ebay tips thread....Buying and Selling on eBay: Tips, Tricks, Problems & Questions

I don't see that in the Android App Store - is it one of those snobby Apple-only apps? [IMG]

Did you really buy a pair of size 17 Wide shoes??? I have left a lot of things that I would kop at a normal size. Size 56 pants 29 inseam pants, size 15 shoe etc... Checking ebay there has been 1 17W shoe sold in the last month, so not a real popular size. I still have a pair of 13AAA AE shoes I can't give away for cost + shipping. Good luck though man! I'm at work and the desktop for some reason doesn't display the option to spoiler things. So, I'll fix this when I get home but I have to say this is one bad ass haul!!!! I've yet to see a A&S haul this awesome!!! Props!

Edited: This haul is only next to Gmmcl's A&S Chords suit!

I don't mean to dampen your enthusiasm, but if you are buying with the intent of flipping, I think that you might be disappointed. I say this as someone who is in the midst of closet culling and re-donating a TON of stuff that I should never have bought. None of it is bad, it's just not sellable on the secondary market, and it sucks to realize that every sport coat and shirt that went unsold was a $3 or $4 bill gone to waste. Pride of England ties, for example. I like them and have a few myself, but they have zero resale value. Most stuff from Nordstrom has zero value on the secondary market. Same with HSM. Even if it's Brioni and made for a midget (or a giant), same deal. Again, if it fits and it's for you, different story, but the hardest part of all this is to be picky, and even the pickiest folks get stuck re-donating stuff.

Every town is different, but I find that if I'm batting the Mendoza line, I'm doing well. Most often, I return from thrifts empty handed, and that is not necessarily a bad thing.

Pseudo thrift fit/fit question: does this blazer fit well enough in the shoulders to have tailoring work done to the sleeves/waist?

Got a pair of Quoddy boat shoes. Wish they fit me. They are vintage and exquisitely made.
Do they still do this tag?
    Vibram sole
    [IMG]
Extra row of stitching on the toe. I don't think they do that any more.

This. If I come out empty handed, I try to think "at least I didn't spend any money today". A penny saved is a penny earned.
