Thanks Mike. Honestly it was also the width issue - I'd rather have a 10.5C, especially in a chukka. I suppose I could've bought & tried them. We'll see what happens with the D width Ravello longwings.
NRO seems to have C width chukkas (1339 & 1340) on their site right now, which I'm really tempted to try. As far as I know, those are stock shoes, not normally available in C widths.
Also, I fell victim to the "just didn't get made" scenario recently too - long wing #8 with natural edge. Ordered C width, paid in full in advance, waited 8-9 months and finally noticed the makeup appearing on SF. I contacted the retailer and they asked me to supply them with my receipt, which I did, whereupon I got the sheepish "ah, your order wasn't entered properly."
nephew, looking good in your wt

I highly doubt NRO actually has the C widths in stock.
I hope the retailer said more than "your order wasn't entered properly," considering they had ~$700 of your money locked up for 8+ months.
Awesome shoes bk.
Thanks RK. I think I like your darker shade of color 8 better than my 990. Mine are really cherry-red (oxblood); still like them a lot..Thanks RTP. Truly inspired by your color 8 PTBs.
uh-oh ... you may get a tiny more room when the cork layer compresses, but one should not expect shell to stretch muchIndy boots in color 8 with the double waterlock leather sole from a few days ago. Still kicking around whether the fit is right..... they may be a bit small at 11 B/D: Ben

Thank you, Gents.Nice BK! I was at Alden SF a couple of weeks ago and Tom had on this pair. His were about 4-5 years old and had a ton of miles on them. His had developed a killer patina. He said he may send them in for restoration/resole some time this year. Not sure I would do the restoration as it may come back in a much darker color.

Ben

Thanks - that NRO site feels like it's from another Century. I may call them.I highly doubt NRO actually has the C widths in stock.
