Anyone know where I can get a pair of Color 8 LWBs with an antique edge in 12D?

Hello everyone. My new Alden x Epaulet Natural CXL longwings arrived today, and the craftsmanship looks a little off to me. Before I contact Epaulet, I'd like to get your opinion on the shoes.

The left shoe looks fine to me, but I immediately noticed that the brogue holes on the right shoe looked a little off-center, twisted to the side a little. (See photos.) The top view doesn't seem to look so bad.

One the one hand, I spent $500 on these shoes, so I'd like them to be made better. On the other hand, they are hand-crafted, and some people believe it's the little imperfections that make hand-crafting worthwhile.

Personally, I'm leaning towards the "I spent $500, so I'd like them to be made better" hand, but...am I too picky?

I'd appreciate any opinions.

Thanks in advance,
Christopher

I'd be conflicted if that pair arrived.. on one hand, my right foot tends to curl the end of my shoes up anyhow.. but that's just sloppy work IMO right there

I'd ask for an exchange, but it a replacement pair were not avail,, I wouldnt let it stop me from keeping them

Just received a bonus at work! I'm torn between the #8 Indy boot or the 9 Eyelet Wing Tip Boot from the shoe mart. What do you guys think?

Wingtip gets my vote.

I would not hesitate returning those. That is not the way they should look and I would not expect them to even be shipped out by the store with that kind of deformation.

I would get the #8 wing tip boot.

I don't think you're being too picky. I would send them back. I'm very forgiving when it comes to alden issues, but these don't make the cut.
