    Thanks, guys.
I hadn't heard of this last before. Is it limited to Japan?

I believe it is more of an orthopedic line (e.g., TruBalance, TruFlare, TruSquare) but I do not think it is typical of their regular lines. Maybe Moulded Shoes here in NYC can still get them.

Here's the answer -- apparently they did not clear this mailing list idea with Alden corporate, and when they found out about it they said no (like they seem to do with most marketing ideas), though the impression I got from Kathy was that it was the kind of no that might be reconsidered, but I wasn't optimistic. A couple years ago I talked to Kathy about putting on a customer event, sort of like a trunk show. She loved the idea but corporate would not allow it. Alden is very strange in many ways…..

Absolutely awsome shoes. I had my hands on a pair of those at Alden DC when I was there last year. I was drooling then, and I'm drooling now!

    The Ravellos came in today:

They look dark in indoor lighting, but appears to be more reddish under direct light.

Those are some really pretty shoes! Must resist temptation. If they're a size 11D you can send them to me. I'll pay the shipping.

CTYGGG, great looking shoes. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with asymmetrical creases.

I got mine earlier in the week and commented that they were darker than I expected. Mine really don't have much red in them, yet.

Great pair. I have a pair and love them. These shoes have made my NIB Ravello Shortwings expendable. Still can't come around to list them though.

What the heck are asymmetrical creases, and why would anybody worry about them? :)
