Anyone have suggestions for a rugged boot I can wear throughout college by Alden? I love the look of the tanker boots as well as the Roy boots. Something that can really take a beating in any weather would be great. Thanks guys, I've been drooling over shoes in this thread for the past week and now wanna jump on the Alden train myself.

Classic Indy 403 or 405 will get you where you need to go for a few years....

Second to that. Indy boot with a commando sole is better for rough weather.

I was on the list at TSM for a year or so, took about 5/6 months from confirmation of the order for the shoes to be delivered. Whiskey LWB is probably the most produced makeup in Whiskey shell, so not a big surprise there.

My latest purchase - Color 8 Plain Toe Boots on Barrie from TSM. The shell is perfect but the charm of Alden (i.e., imperfection) can be seen in the edge in the photo below. Regardless, these are keepers.

I'm considering changing the laces for a pair with a little more "pop". Does anyone know what other colors Alden offers? Thanks in advance for your help.
