Dow 100,000 is only ~33 years of growth at 5% or ~25 years at 7%.

What do we want? Dow 100,000. When do we want it? Now!

I actually have a sizeable amount in my IRA just sitting in cash and today is the day I just forget to look at the market. Need to be ready tomorrow!

Same here. I quit my old job and cashed out the securities in my 401k and rolled into my IRA. Cash hit my IRA account last week and I'm just waiting for a few good down days to deploy.

Any reason why you rolled over into IRA rather than new company? Bad selection/high fees at new place?

I usually prefer to roll over into my IRA so I can choose to invest in whatever I want.

CEO of Sears says he has serious doubts they can stay in business? Bold strategy.

Hopefully newer money and you haven't missed out on post election gains.

Also recently found out someone close to me has been sitting on mid-7 figures of variable annuities since '09 with fees between 3-5%.....ouch.

Who shops at Sears anymore? I'm genuinely curious… I was in a couple of locations recently to get some socket wrenches and torx bits and it felt like traveling backwards in time.

I can count on one hand the amount of times I've been to a Sears Holding location in the last twenty years: 1) Shopping for appliances for my first home 2) Dropping off returns from Lands End Canvas (twice) 3) Looking for socket wrenches and bits to make minor repairs to my car (drove to two locations).

It feels like brick and mortar retailers like Kohls, Target, Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, Best Buy, and Costco have all collectively eroded away at Sears traditional market. That's not even factoring what online retailers are doing.

Mostly curious, I'm fascinated by what's going on in the retail space and especially shopping malls and “mixed use” retail developments.

That and no need for the folks in your new company to know how much your old account has in it.

I also had a time lag since my old job required me to roll over or take a taxable cash out by (quit in January) 2/28 and my new job won't let me start a 401k until 90 days after my start date (started in early March). So I couldn't roll over into a new 401k plan when I made the election to roll the cash balances into my IRA.

The confidence thing probably makes more sense for some of the more detailed questions they ask...This one was sort of low hanging fruit.

Not answering != Answering that you don't have an opinion

So the healthcare reform that Trump is pushing seem to hit a wall and as such the market is pulling back.

WFC is showing -18% in the premarket? I don't see any news stories, what is the deal?
