I thought that paper patches came into use in the 50s? 

Paper patches were extremely common prior to WWII with many of the smaller unknown brands, it was the big guys (Levi's, Lee, etc..) that started to use paper in the early 50's.

MJ, if I were you and this was the only thing missing from making them perfect, I'd get one of the leather artisans from SF or Sufu to make you a custom leather patch.

It's NOT like you're having to make lemonade from lemons here.

I actually really dig how the paper patch looks worn. Especially, when it starts falling apart.

Big fan of their denim. I love the way the La Jolla jean fits, and all of details---just wish they'd start doing some denim with leather patches instead of paper.

Those chinos are really good, they got the fabric and details down on them so well.

yeah, even though I've got three pairs, if they ever release them in GREY it will be an instant 2 x kop!

It kinda doesn't feel right that these fit better than any of my denim.

Stevenson Indigo-Dyed Chinos and Indigo-Dyed Sashiko Scarves

We've got an exciting new release from Stevenson in the form of an indigo-dyed cotton twill slim fitting chino. These were made exclusively for Self Edge and are not available even in Japan. These are lightweight and perfect for warmer climates. The fabric has been rinsed twice and already some of the characteristics of the indigo can be seen at the edges of the fabric.

Along with the indigo-dyed chinos we've received indigo-dyed sashiko scarves with hand sewn accents. The fabrics on these scarves were designed and produced by Stevenson and fully finished by hand to produce one of the most unique scarves you've ever seen.

Stevenson Summer Collection & 727 Jean

Stevenson Overall Company has turned into a favorite of ours over the past year. They're able to create perfect garments while staying true to a mid-century style. With this delivery we have three shirts and a new production run of the 727 jean. We're starting to see photographs of what their jeans are looking like after a year or so of wear and it's impressive. The aging that takes place on the edges of the back pockets looks great and the denim feels and ages as a good vintage style selvedge denim should.

Stevenson has just delivered the first part of it's fall/winter collection. This release includes a new color in their very popular Hilts Chinos, two new brushed flannels with some impressive cast buttons, and Giza Cotton t-shirts which come in a pack of two. Stevenson 714 Straight Tapered Jean & Chino/Jean Restocks

Stevenson now has the jean fit many of you have been waiting for, a straight leg jean with a small leg opening and a true medium rise. Made out of their popular loomstate 14.5oz Japanese selvedge denim and single-needle stitched throughout. This jean fits very well for a guy wanting a little extra space in the crotch and thigh area but wanting an overall slim look and a tapered leg.

Along with the new 714 jean we've received a full restock of their slim tapered 727 fit and chinos in olive, khaki, and navy. The chinos are amazing, seriously. We don't use the words "chinos" and "amazing" in the same sentence very often, but these are really good chinos with a true broadcloth fabric that's custom woven for Stevenson.
