Chogall I would have to agree I hope nobody in there right mind would change from bottom to top. Thanks for the compliment though. I did those a couple years back for a client and I wasn't sure if I could get them light enough to his liking.
Did you try using bleach?
I'm not a fan of using bleach. It is so harsh on the leather and really dries it out. I use a combination of different deglazers, slightly watered down acetone and at different intervals. It all comes down to the quality of the leather and what it can take.
chogall I will take a look at the oxalic bleach. I am always up for experimenting and trying new options. I think for every patina artist stripping the shoes has to be the worst partNot household/Choride, but oxalic which is regularly been used for leathercraft and woodworking.
