I have only one simple request...lets have 23 rosters spots but 9 actual hitting starters.

8+ hours is still too much time.

First, I agree with the fact that having two catchers is ridiculous. In fact, having two of any single position player on your roster active is ridiculous.

If you have a better roster, you build it, post it, and we will discuss it. We have had exactly ONE official suggestion on "large" roster so far, which I am against, but most of the others wanted, so I took it. So suggest something!

Anyone interested in making three of the OF positions LF CF and RF? It would be more true-to-life as the defensive demands of each outfield position vary greatly.
I am officially vehemently against this idea. The league is overly-complicated enough as it is. To the point where keeping up with it will probably rapidly become tiresome for me as it is. The defensive demands of the OF do not matter in our league at all. We are not doing defensive scoring. If you want to manage a "real" baseball team Bill, I'm sure you could just go buy one.

Thats exactly how we started out, and people bitched that there weren't enough roster spots. Convince THEM.

Tokyo Slim, I like the current roster setup. The only change I would make is one starting C instead of two starting Cs.

I am fine with the 23 man roster, especially if we are doing a live draft

As foar as playing for cash goes, anyone who wants to participate, send me a PM.

Depending on how many decide to ante up, we can have the top finisher take all or if enough decide to go for it, compensate the next (or next two) finishers as well.

Here's what I recommend for pot distribution:

5 or less: top finisher take all
6-9: top 70%, #2 30%
10+: top 70%, #2 20%, #3 10%

Shall we make it $50 or $100?

My wife jsut remided me that we have Opera tickets for Staurday, March 24th. Is there anyway that we can have the draft on Sunday? If not, I don't think I can participate.

ok... two decisions on the table:

So far... we have the vote to drop the second catcher and MI positions and add more bench spots, which I heartily endorse.

yea or nay

we have the draft on sunday the 25th instead of Saturday the 24th. To which I don't really care.

yea or nay

I am going to change the settings exactly ONCE more, so if there is anything else killing you about the league's settings, let me know now. I will not tolerate any Steve-B'ish whining this year that people are uncomfortable with rules or whatever, and thats why they are losing.

Will there be an automatic option for the draft (i.e. draft from pre-set lists for people who can't be there to draft manually)?

I vote yay on the first measure.
