The Sugarcanes in the US don't have the arctuate on the back pockets courtesy of Levi's legal department.

I can't be sure, but I am reasonably sure that Kiya's Okinawas (those were the Hawaiis you linked) are the same ones sold at BIG:

You should phone the store to be sure. One thing I know is that the texture and color is quite unique.

Ohh Thanks man!
Was getting confused.

I read on SF the SC40400 ($500) is basically a 501 1947 repro. I also saw a pic of the SC40401 (cheaper) being worn, and it kinda looked like an Eternal 811. Does anyone know the difference between the cuts?

Okay, I'm an idiot.

The jeans are in fact the Hawaii, not the Okinawa. They are the slimmest cut that Sugarcane makes, and the most modern - not really a repro at all, according to Kiya (I haven't tried them on myself, so someone tell me if I am wrong). Don't know if there are measurements anywhere. Kiya?...

Fok is definitely correct.
the Hawaii is Sugarcane's slimmest cut with the lowest rise out of all their jeans they produce. The wear on these is amazing due to the 50/50 cotton/sugarcane blend and the slubby look gives the denim a very unique edge..

Unfortunately, because the Sugarcane distributors have told all their stockists that they cannot offer any discount, a policy that I will not comment on, the January promotion has been changed.

For the remainder of January, the Nudie Slim Jim in the Black-Black wash will be offered at 30% off retail (retail is $210), so the price will be $147. Shipping is free within the US, and $20 outside.

Cheers,

Fok.

yeah i have the hawaii's, got them a few months ago from self edge. They streached out a bit so definitley expect some streaching. i have not soaked or washed mine yet. I wear them about once or twice a week. they are a dope jean. i also went back to san fran a couple days ago and bought the sugar cane union stars.

i should take some pics of mine and put them up tommorow.

How limited are these SExIH going to be? I want a pair of 21 oz as my next pair in a good cut. I won't wear them untill the sammie contest is up but I would like to have them on hand for when winter comes. Any news on the second collaboration?

So, DD or anyone who's tried these on, how heavy are these, compared to, SDAs or APCs or whatever? Would they be wearable in the summer?

i tried on the prototype and they I didn't notice that they were heavy at all. Sure a bit heavier than the SDAs. May be the fact that Kiya's already broken the pair in a bit.
21oz in the summer? If it's not very humid i wouldn't hesitate on wearing them.
