A photo of the missing spot would help. Is it the top one or the lower one? A shoe repair store might be able to fix it. Missing buckle or not, for $60, imo, those are a steal.

Remove the remaining buckle from the other boot, darken up the light spots with polish and put them on. Cackle and rub your hands over your good fortune.

Yesterday I took a trip to Nagoya to do some long awaiting shopping since my move to Japan. All the stores in the city where I live seem to sell dumb bullshit (excluding Uniqlo)--plastic looking shoes with ugly ass bicycle toes or similar crimes against good taste, ******* awful menswear like Chaps, and jeans with gaudy decorations, washes, and artificial distress.

The trip was a great time as I found out where I can get my hands on John Lobbs, C&Js, Borrelli shirts and ties, and other wonderful items. It was a relief to know that some people in this Japan do like good clothes.

At the end of the trip, I stopped in Osu, which is where all the denim shops in Nagoya seem to have gathered. The Fullcount store was selling their jeans for 50% off, but none of what they had in my size really grabbed me and they wouldn't ship it to me after hemming, so I passed.

I ended up walking down the street and picking up this beauty: (raw denim Appreciation time!)

Only after I got these home and read the washing instructions did I realize these were shrink-to-fit. I probably shouldn't have gotten the tightest size I could fit into. Any advice for the shower-n-shrink? (Apologies for the dirty mirror)

Nice Denimes. Don't see much of them on this SF.

Iron heart 634's of which I was surprised that I had to size down to a 29 waist to get a proper fit (same size as I wear in APC). Property of.... card case. and tanner brown belt.

Nice! Denime should fade really, really well.

I'd be interested to know what the price range for those are, in Japan.
