I hate guetta's music but he's actually really talented and just decided he wanted to be rich, which you can't entirely blame him for.

Agreed. Cutting and bulking does not get along with the fashionz. I'm hoping that if I'm lean enough, it'll be possible to recomp without weight change...

JFC, I've been trying to buy a couple items from an Ebay seller, and they can't even understand simple questions about the colors of the items, or how to measure them :fu:

I remember in the mid 90s when he and Cathy were basically running Les Bains in Paris. I would have never thought that he would make it so big 15-20 years later

Margiela has me covered with beautiful weekend bags, but I need a true luggage (set) for 8+ day trips. Any nice looking recommendations? Simple bag + toiletry + garment carrier would be ideal

I have experience mainly with one brand so if any of you know of some cool brands out there let me know

    -Leaning towards Valextra right now

Looks cool. If you're looking for something similar but cheaper, just do an ebay search for "strichtarn".

How about some Romero Britto luggage to keep the Florida connection strong? :D

 I actually like Britto, very Maimi. The Luggage though, well lets just say every cruise I go to a little girl has a Britto trolley

Heys makes Britto correct? Britto v. Valextra... isn't that kind of like Kia v. Bentley? Not even in the same universe really. In my experience the Heys stuff is just shit... and Valextra, while obviously nice... well do you really want a $10K suitcase? I'm partial to Rimowa and Globetrotter... a couple Samsonite beaters.

Ha I'd say more like go-cart v. Bugatti

I would do 10k for all the trimmings, has to be leather though. I have few things, might as well get the best I can if its the only one Im going to have. My small search did turn up the Want Essentiels de Gaulle S4 which is exactly what I am looking for but I don't know jack about them, just that they did a collab with Orlebar Brown once. I don't do wheels, but from the parking to the port I'd rather roll than carry. I was put off by the fact some of their stuff is made in China, but apparently this is made in Italy with French leather

Pretty much for the price of a 5Zip

Same sole (Serena). I take same size in CP and Buttero tanino but the Buttero uppers (a big slab of veg-tan leather) will relax more than the CP - so for anyone between sizes in CP, err on the smaller size for Buttero. One caveat (it would be too easy) is that the top of the foot at the ball and toes is quite snug on the Buttero at the first wears. Then again, it will relax with wear.

Anybody else remember that Valextra Avietta carry on someone sold on here for under 1K? Man, was that thing beautiful. This was like 5 years ago.

EDIT: Just found the original listing. Here it is:

    http://www.styleforum.net/t/126504/valextra-avietta-48

In all seriousness Regis, get Valextra luggage especially if you can find a deal in b&s. It would look good on you and seems to fit with your one-and-done buying philosophy.
