Hi all. Been looking for a new pair of shades. I think these are quite bold without being gawdy or pretentious. What are some opinions? I like the pewter frame with grey/green lens, which are the ones in the forefront of the pic.

Did we just reach some sort of critical mass for attracting spam?

BTW those glasses look like the results of a spacedocking.

wow... no offense but -10 on style... those are quite ugly, regardless of how your shape is faced. might have better luck going to a gas station and picking up $12 pair. but hey if you like em buy em, be yourself!

***if you are looking for bold, you might like the rectangular persols (not the Jack N style wayfarers). Though i suppose there is a fine line between bold and gaudy.

I thought they were ugly at first, too, but they're kind of growing on me. Not sure yet.

I own a pair. I like them very much, they are like aviators but with less tact.

if you're into those glasses, go check out Walgreen's--the latest in cutting edge menswear--they'll be right in between the candy aisle and the 5 for $10 defective t-shirts.

Are the lenses fairly squared? I see they also have another pair that's similar, I think the 52 or something; more like traditional aviators, but I like the squared lenses better. Can't seem to find a front pic. Thanks!

If you have access to a Sunglass Hut you can go there to try them on, I know they still carry them. Here is a link to better pictures if that helps as well. http://www.sunglamour.com/default.as...dotto&key=1000 This goes without saying but if you operate on public opinion you’ll never leave the house.

Brian was looking (and bought?) a pair but not of these; the glasses he showed me were a lot better than these.

I think they're nice, really, in a Eurotrash sort of way.

I don't mind them at all. Some things look bad on the rack but great on people. I'm partial to the blue and red. The green is a bit out there, but if you can carry it, then go for it.

I tried them on at a Sunglass Hut. They didn't have the ones I want, but did have a pair with pewter frames and tortoise shell ear pieces. Wasn't crazy about the tortoise shell, but I did pull them off quite well. I have an oval shaped face and can wear a wide array of styles. Tried on some newer style Ray Ban aviators and liked them a lot, too. What to do, what to do....
