Mediocre, overpriced clothing being sold in a neighborhood with some of the most expensive rents in America? I think it's safe to assume this is true.

I agree that their price range has always been pretty up there for the product, but I'd hardly call them mediocre. Their bag was military-inspired with clean, well-made products and I think they did so fairly well.

But then I've come to realize that anything that isn't on SZ or outside his aesthetic will immediately be called "mediocre" by our resident Barney's ex-SA Natan.

Two weeks ago, I went looking for the Nom de Guerre store on the corner of South Broadway & Bleecker Street, that my Droid claims still exists. Well, it wasn't there, nor any vestige of it.

Have you been there before? It's in a basement and is easy to miss if you don't know what to look for.

Store is still there. There's a stupid NY-special scaffold that can't really be good for business...

NdG was never mediocre. They've had great pieces every season, a consistent aesthetic and nice fit. Their collabs are also often very good (my NDGxOP sunglasses are among my favorites). I've always liked strolling through the store, even when I'm not buying anything.

I hope this is not true.

Really, wow. I knew it was hard to miss, but the address my Droid provided me for the store was the entrance of an apartment building and the door was naturally locked to intruders. Furthermore, I attempted to call Nom de Guerre, only to get an automated response stating that the number was no longer in service. I took that as sufficient evidence that it no longer existed.
