I have just returned from holiday in France where I bought my first ever polo shirt.I was in the Lacoste boutique in St Tropez when I heard the manager talking about the new 'stretch' polo with elasthane. It has 3 buttons and is shorter than the regular polo.I tried one on and ended up buying it and then another later in the week.I found the fit incredible,I have a reasonably athletic body but these things make you look like an Adonis.I was wondering if anyone else had tried one and what their thoughts were.
Incidently there was an American student trying one on and the fit looked great on him but he didn't buy it because he 'thought it looked a bit gay' and that he would get laughed at back home. His girlfriend(who was stunning) was urging him to buy it but to no avail. So obviously the fit isn't for everyone.

Personally I would not dream of tucking a polo shirt in which is some of the reason I have never bought one as most of the ones I tried on were too long.As for the part about seeing your belly I could imagine that might be a problem with a regular shirt but not a polo.
