Despite how much I loathe what has happened to the brand in recent years, @DorianGreen 's recent posts reminded me how much I adore Lobb's classic RTW styles.

I just so happened to stumble upon an online retainer with a single pair left of the discontinued Fencote loafer in my usual size. Only thing is it is in EE width. Can anyone comment on how Lobb's EE width shoes compare to their standard E width or how the Fencote compares to the Lopez in fit?

Even though I have narrow, low volume feet, the voluminous Lopez half a size down fits me better than narrow styles I have tried like the Adley. So maybe the EE is the better fit for me? In EE width, the Fencote actually looks even closer to the classic Zilka.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
