Well done.

I am curious why you bought two models in brown, and both plain toe oxfords? This is not a criticism - by no means - just genuinely curious. Again, well done. :nodding:

No worriies, feel free to ask. Brown plain toe oxfords were exactly what I needed in my closet. I bought many other shoes this years (Alden cordovan boots, Church captoe oxford, Carmina derby, etc.).

Makes sense to me.

I think they have occasional runs. The Lopez are more popular I think though. If you really want a pair, you can always MTO through their stores. Here's my pair:

As I promised, pictures of my two new pairs:

John Lobb Rothley Dark Brown Misty Calf (last 7000) 8.5UK
1000

John Lobb Becketts Dark Brown Museum Calf (last 8000) 8.5UK
1000

Pictures are quite true to reality. As you can see the Becketts are slightly lighter even if the "Museum" effect is not that obvious (for me it is more close to a Misty calf).

:)

Wow, they are both stunners. I wouldn't be able to choose between them, either.

Too bad the 8000 give me too much heel slippage since it's a great looking last.

Damn it, you mean I have to wear them? :D

True. I am more comfortable in the 7000 last which fit me very well.
In the 8000 my toes are a bit tight and my heel slip a bit more. Nothing to worry I hope but I do prefer the 7000 last in terms of comfort.
