Hey guys, these are my first patterned pants ever, it was so hard to choose what to wear them with, I'm wearing a standard white t-shirt underneath- please criticize and help! I've just started to be interested in style!

Those are indeed some difficult pants to wear as odd trousers...are they originally part of a suit?

I had the same impression. IMO, windowpane patterns belongs to suits, not separates.

Good to know! It's seperate and actually quite streety, with cream and burgundy top stitching (?) on the front pockets, which the jacket is just hiding. Thanks for helping!

Wearing patterned pants can be tricky as you really need to balance the look with just a solid shirt.

Disagree. I think plenty of pics in this thread show patterned shirts and pants in harmony. But it's definitely more risky.

How do you feel about patterned shirts with madras plaid patterned trousers? I never saw this done in a way that I felt comfortable looking at.
