Douglas-san,

Will you go 'modern' on the chair?

I assume you'll be stripping the paint from the edges? Is it a contemplative or a working desk? It looks large enough that it might work as a standing desk.....

An idea. I dont know how handy you are BUT get 2 more doors, that have a similar feel and cut them up to make them into legs...I dont know how to describe it, but take the 2 doors and make them into boxes to put under the "table top door". If you are handy, you can make draws and so on, or just leave them as "boxes" under the table top and then make a hidden door for storage. You can take piano hinges and make an opening or make a hidden door.

Possibilities are endless....youre only limited to your wood working skills.

Great idea.

I am currently typing on a vintage Desk stamped "War Department - 1941" (or something like that.. haven't taken a look in a bit)
