This suit wears quite nicely IMO. It's almost a perfect weight for San Francisco. I can wear it in all seasons.

There’s some lovely geometry going on here. That single sweeping curve of the jacket from the shoulder through the lapel all the way to the bottom, for one. The angle of the (often unfairly maligned point) collar for another. Very elegant.

    Cheers,

the black shoes r good IMO, but unusual. I think they work well cos everything else is sober + the tie's a dark solid.

lulz ..Was it the lack of saturation?- the neat doesn't pop, true, but I'm happy for it not to e.g. with this low key POW & I just love the incredibly soft hand on the silk- nothing else like it IME

Still monsoon season in NYC today, but I am willfully ignoring it.

Sport jacket, trousers, shirt - BB
    Tie - PRL
    PS - no name brand
    Shoes - J & M (Italian manufacture)
    Raincoat - Burberry
    Scarf - Zegna
    Hat - Weatherproof

DC Your knots always bother me especially when you post so close to pliny.

Like the rest of the fit but not sure if I'd have picked those shoes. Seem too casual with the contrast stitching. Inseam seems a bit too long as well.

I like the shoes actually. The texture of the suede looks great with this fit. Plus, they are derbys. I think dark brown suede is a great F/W shoe in almost any application.
