@An Acute Style are those blackwatch socks by chance? I'd be curious to know the brand, if they are.

My thoughts (let's see if I can avoid ruffling feathers this go round lol)

    1) while I wouldn't consider that aggressive an orange for myself, I quite like how well it plays with the print/woven pattern of the tie...also compliments the green base, in my opinion.

    2) I'll never understand the general aversion to a lighter top/darker bottom combo (I believe it has its own pet name here). I very much like it, especially in the colors chosen.

All in all, while it wouldn't necessarily be something I'd feel myself wearing, you sport it well!

Thanks. Yes they are black watch socks. They're Beams Plus from Mr. Porter. I also have a pair of black watch socks by Polo. You can usually find the Polo ones on eBay.

Koala-T, your combinations have improved substantially of late. The snuff suede of your shoes seems a bit warm in tone compared to the rest of the fit (though I like what I can see of them as such). That fit's a good candidate for mahogany or burgundy shoes, or black shoes if you're not averse to wearing them with odd-jacket fits.

Today. I know the rule about mixing patterns with different sizes. I intentionally choose similarly sized patterns today.

So now you've found out why that rule exists... [IMG]

To my untrained eye, this looks like your best effort yet, @Koala-T !

My brain tell me I shouldn't like this. But I do!

AS, the real letdown of that last fit is the uncomfortable relationship of the browns in the pants and shoes. In the orange cardigan fit, the cotton jacket with the sweater is cognitively jarring, but I still likeded it.

Isn't this like one of those things I can just take a pill for to make it better? No? Shit then.

Thumbed despite my dislike for suits with closed spaced stripes and/or self-stripes. Also, big +1 for posting shoes that don't look brand new.

Beautiful light. Fit ain't bad either!

Thanks! I can see your point on the shoes. I wouldn't have though of black shoes, but I like the idea.
