The point being that I don't have $50k on me and I would find 10^6 more ways to spend it than on an A5.

If I were the guy I'd replace the Maserati with an M3 and the Cayenne with a G55 or maybe even a Range Rover (not a Range Rover Sport).

That was before all the rappers started rapping about it. Same thing happened with the Gallardo. So far, I haven't seen an Aston Martin or a Corvette in a rap video - so I assume those are safe.

A very nice E39 M5 could be had for under $30,000.
Powerful, enough room for comfort in all kinds of situations, and classy

Sorry There's numerous songs about Astons. If this is your logic, then: Range Rovers BMW 6 & 7 series Ferrari's Mercedes S & SL's Muscle Cars Jags Rolls Bentey's Maybach's Porsche Cayennes & 911's Are all off limits. Maybe you should be a larger fan of the Audi....

I think Audi's off limits too. Surprised you forgot about this silly piece of early 90s slang:

BMW 6
Jags (S-type especially)
Bentley
Maybach
Porsche Cayenne
- All pretty much are garbage.

The other ones are OK. Although it is a fantastic vehicle, I am seeing more douches in SL's (mostly kids of ambassadors listening to loud Arab music). I might add that anyone who modifies the body/or wheels of the Rolls Royce or Range Rover ought to be shot.

Do you not realize that rappers will rap about any car worth over 70k?

beyond that, WTF does someone making a song with a reference to a car have to do with the car itself? Hell, The Beach Boys sang about deuce coupes and 409s way back in the 60s and I'd take either one.

this is one step beyond the "if everyone else has it i don't want it" mentality. It's ridiculous. IMO, if it's well made and you like it, buy it. Let outside influences keep you from the things you want and you'll never have anything.

+100 This is essentially what i was trying to convey. I could care less if an Aston is mentioned by a celebrity, if I could afford one, there would be one sitting in my garage as we speak.

exactly. Cars are not something that you buy into for the image; you buy them for their functionality and performance. I can see where his logic applies to clothing and styles (i.e I don't buy into the whole Ed Hardy image), but he's trying to replicate that somewhere that has no need for it.

Their performance for the time might have been stellar, but I don't much care for the looks of any of them. I met the 360 with a sigh of relief that the bad days were over.

That aside, I recommend against the 3x8 cars because they're lousy bang for the buck. If you're nostalgic for Tom Selleck's hey-day, go for it, but kids in Hondas and Foci will leave you like you were standing still - the world has moved on since its day. The reason these Ferraris are so... affordable is they lack serious performance and historical significance for the Ferrari brand, much like the 944 for Porsche.

I'm sorry but the 355 is BEAUTIFUL

to the OP, a 911 is what you should look into
