Hairstyle that flips out

Anyone got ideas on how to get that hairstyle where the hair is kind of straight and then then sort of flips out at the end? I'm thinking along the lines of the John Krasinski from The Office.

Does this just happen? The closest I got to that was when I just wore me baseball cap for a while, but have since lost said cap.

Hat head does seem apt. If you are looking to have this hair style done don't worry about its name; take the picture in with you. Even if you did find out the name confusion can easily arise, but a picture is pretty concrete.
