hair straightener

i am 32 year male, have thick black hair, very little curly , my barber applied a hair straightener on my hair which was a lye type thing in which he mixed 3 shampoo saches, and washed my hair after 5 minutes, the become so straight that i lost my hair style, i hate my hair now, it happened one weak ago, now i want to get back by normal hair, how it is possible?
