Tonight's episode was hilarious and clearly a skewering of the absurd UMC white girl NYC mindset. Breaking up with the black boyfriend because he is a Republican....

That whole thing was handled in a genuinely smart and funny way. The fact that she used the Republican thing as an excuse to get out of the relationship because he didn't like her essay ends up pointing to some good questions about politics & style. And especially since what he objected to was a lack of genuine plot/substance in her writing, the whole thing comes around to thinking about the show itself and how divisive it is.

I don't think I can watch Girls any more. It seems like it's just one giant camera-mugging fest, with hipster-centric references, easy/crowd-pandering cameos, and attempts to make being a 20-odd underemployed college graduate a nerve wracking but desirable thing. Unfortunately, I still do enjoy it.

It makes me feel like I'm watching sex and the city through Instagram. Unfortunately, I have to sit through it as I owe my wife for making her witness to my recent OCD plowing of battlestar galactica.

Also, there's already a thread on this show if you wanna revive it and see comments from previous season,

+1 to all of this except maybe for the last bit. The general aimlessness just doesn't appeal to me. It's a wonder that I still watch every week.

Teger, why are you watching this garbage? Please tell me you are being forced at gunpoint or by a significant other.

The scene where Brian Williams´ daughter gets naked to **** the gay guy was pretty bad. I mean, it was great that she showed her body a little, but at the same time it was so fake and you could see she wasn´t playing her part, she was being herself not wanting her breasts to show. What girl covers them like that when getting naked??
