Hello,
I'm an absolute beginner to black tie and am looking for advice in regard to affordable dress shirts. I am a student at Oxford and will be going to Black tie dinners and Balls regularly in the next couple of years (over a dozen a year). Being a student and an absolute beginner to this I'd rather not spend a very large amount immediately, but am willing to go up in price if there is significant benefit to it. I already have a dinner jacket and so am just looking into buying a dress shirt and studs at the moment. My absolute maximum would be £200, but I'd like to be well under that. I have a very slim build and am thinking of getting H&Cs slim fit pleated shirt due to that with their MOP studs, but am unsure about cufflinks. I would much appreciate any advice on whether there are better alternatives to the shirt and any suggestions for cheap cufflinks
