This is a nice piece on how jazz musicians and in particular, Duke Ellington, dressed. I am obsessed with formal menswear of the 30s, 40s, and 50s. I find it elegant and somehow so effortless. It's cool to see that these musicians deeply cared about the way they looked as much as the music they created.

There's a great episode of Articles of Interest, Avery Trufelman's podcast, on how Miles, Parker, Coltrane along with civil rights leaders like King and Malcolm X created Black Ivy.

Need more wide-legged pants. 😁
