HAHAHA, You guys take the name of the folder too literally, I actually named it that as a joke from another Forum where we did the same thread. I will rename my Recycle Bin "Used up Porno" though (Simpsons refference).

This was my screen up till a month ago: Manila's Chinatown, where I grew up and lived till I was 12, taken sometime in the 1st decade of the 20th century. I used to walk that same street when I was a kid.

I changed it to this: an aerial shot of Manila after liberation, 1945. It wasn't well known that Manila was the 2nd most damaged city after the 2nd World War.

Nice, you use Latex. I like VLC better than mplayer for OS X, but mplayer is pretty hard to beat in linux. What is that tomato icon for?

If you are Math/Science/Engineering major, not using LaTeX is insane. :p In-fact I now write everything in LaTeX and shudder at the thought of using something like Word.

mplayer is faster for me, just drag movie over its icon and hit f.

Tomato Torrent, probably the best (and most underrated) torrent client for the Mac.

For my chemistry and physics labs, I used to write them out by hand, but if I did type them, I'd use Word Equation Editor only so that I could share the equations with lab partners who knew nothing about computers. Coincidentally, despite all the things I've read on Latex, I've never actually used it. I'll look at tomato torrent. I just use the standard one that some guy ported from Bram's original.

LaTeX has a bit of a learning curve, but once you switch you really never go back (kind of like vi). Plus Adium has a LaTeX plugin built in so you can IM your friends beautifully typeset equations in the middle of sentences making collaborating on school work much easier.

wow, nice. I got os x after I graduated college 3 years ago. Adium is the ****, cutting and pasting equations sure would have come in handy a while back. That cube icon on my screenshot is my adium, it rotates when I get an IM. To type out equations though, your friends also need to have Adium though don't they? I like adium for its OTR encryption built in but all of my friends use Windoze or Linux. Just downloaded Tomato Torrent, looks pretty cool. If you don't have Quicksilver, you might like that. Quicksilver and VirtueDesktops I can't live without. They really come in handy when you got lots of **** open.
