Was there any steering towards a particular area when you bought the new place?

Agents are notorious for showing Italians a certain area, Jews a certain area etc. around those parts...

That behavior is highly illegal around these parts.

Yes, but it happens all the time. I've experienced it first hand, but decided the general area wasn't for me.

kidding. it's on the water, it's small, it's out of the way, quaint, bohemian, the houses are incredible. We've thought about it for years but only the commute has detered me (1 hr vs. current 25 min train ride).
