Was thinking about dipping my toe into the Russell's Reserve corner of the bourbon world over the holidays to expand my palate. Have never had anything from the Wild Turkey family before...

What are peoples recommendations on where to start, the 10 year or the single barrel? Both seem to be readily available on the shelf near me at decent price points...

I'd start 10 year on the basis it's cheaper so if it isn't for you, you've spent less finding that out :p

But both are a great option. 10yr will be more consistent over time of course, whereas if you get a single barrel you really like, maybe it's not there and it's a different barrel you like less next time. /shrug

six/half-dozen at the end of the day.
