Brand: Solar
Specs: 25 jewel Swiss automatic movement, date feature (not quick set), gold plated case
History: Solar was a house brand for Canada's Eaton Department store. Most were finished by Gallet. Others contained Tudor movements from Rolex in a Oyster case, THIS ISN'T ONE OF THOSE.

Period: Anywhere from 1960's-1980's.
Movement: 25 jewel Swiss Automatic. Likely A. Schild 16XX or 17XX movement. Based on pictures from previous owners. Never opened myself.
Service history: Serviced a few years ago by previous owner. I think it needs servicing, so can't guarantee timing. I tested the power reserve by shaking it by hand for 10mins and it lasted a few mins over 24hrs. I'm not sure of the movement but I expect the power reserve should be more.
Size: 34mm without crown and 40mm lug to lug
Condition: Excellent for age and running. Dial is in excellent condition. Shows signs of wear on the case and light wear on the crystal. The wear on the crystal could be polished out.
Warranty: No Warranty intact. Sold AS IS.
Etc: Not on original strap, comes with Stowa brown strap w/ gold buckle (seen in primary picture for AD). It's the strap in the picture where the watch is being held by hand. No box or papers.

Reason for Selling: Lack of wrist time. Ive worn it once when I first bought it.
Possible Trades: Another vintage watch or affordable like a Orient, Seiko, etc or cologne.
Regarding Shipping: Will meet up with buyer in agreed to location in NYC for deal. Applies to both sale or trades.

Originally purchased from member WhoKnewI. The pics included are from WhoKnewl's ad. The watch is in the same condition and I'm willing to provide further pictures if need be.

Bumping this. It is still for sale.

I haven't had the time to take it to my watchmaker to officially check if it needs servicing. I am assuming it does need servicing and I've mentioned that above. Read the original post carefully.
