I'm close to your size, and I've found that ordering xxl works out ok with the cotton sweater polos. The regular polos and the merino wool sweater polos in xxl still shrunk to a point that I find them unwearable. The shrunken ones make for a nice oversized fit for my 14-year old son though 👍- reidrothchild

I prefer SuitSupply for their wider range of fits. SuitSupply use to carry almost exclusively skin tight pants, but they've released a lot of looser fits in recent years. Replacing/upgrading favourite corduroys
Seconding Todd Snyder’s cords. I got a pair in their relaxed fit, which is about the only pair of high-ish rise 5-pockets on the market, as far as I have found. 2% elastane, super soft, and drape well. I got all 4 colors and have been wearing them pretty much every day this winter.- reidrothchild

I own this one and the grey-and-white stripe version and get quite a bit of wear out of them. I was a bit nervous about the Johnny collar/lack of buttons, but it doesn't hang open deep enough to show my (substantial) chest hair. I bought the Aabba camp collar shirt jacket that matches the pants linked below last year and think the quality is excellent. It's very soft and plush. Not sure what you mean by "floppy," but it does have 3% elastane, which gives it a comfortable amount of stretch...- reidrothchild

Have you tried the non-neo suits? I think the neo cut jackets have slightly wider shoulders with a bit more room in the upper back. If you're worried about going down a full size, it might be worthy exchanging for one of the non-neo models to see if it fits cleaner in the upper back.- reidrothchild

I wear the short sleeve versions all summer long. They would not be my first choice for an outdoor event when temps get to 85 degrees and above, but they wear cool enough for a 20 minute walk to lunch on hot days. I doubt I'll be wearing this long-sleeve version much during the hottest part...- reidrothchild

Really loving Spier’s decision to go all in in the sweater polos. I’m gonna pick up a few more short sleeve versions and hope for some long sleeve solids. This is an XXL.
