SPIER & MACKAY - Official Affiliate Thread

I'm close to your size, and I've found that ordering xxl works out ok with the cotton sweater polos. The regular polos and the merino wool sweater polos in xxl still shrunk to a point that I find them unwearable. The shrunken ones make for a nice oversized fit for my 14-year old son though 👍

I prefer SuitSupply for their wider range of fits. SuitSupply use to carry almost exclusively skin tight pants, but they've released a lot of looser fits in recent years. Whereas, I find that I have to size way up in Spier's contemporary fit to get a comfortable fit in the seat and thighs, and...

I'm wearing one of the new long sleeve sweater polos today, and I agree that the fabric does not feel as soft as last year's version. Not quite revolting, but definitely more coarse. I'm keeping because this year's version feels a bit roomier in the torso than last year's (though I haven't...

    Replacing/upgrading favourite corduroys

Seconding Todd Snyder’s cords. I got a pair in their relaxed fit, which is about the only pair of high-ish rise 5-pockets on the market, as far as I have found. 2% elastane, super soft, and drape well. I got all 4 colors and have been wearing them pretty much every day this winter.

I’m sure this has already been covered but, if an item is still in stock on the EU site, can a U.S. customer order from the EU site for shipment to the U.S.?

Favorites are the Valstar varsity jacket and NR Moscow. The Moscow is probably the most impressive piece of clothing I’ve ever handled; so thoughtfully designed and overbuilt.

    Brioni Suit: Real or Fake?

I hear you on how nice Brionis are. It wasn't my cup of tea 10+ years ago when I tried a few on, but I understand they may have softened the silhouette up a bit since then. I also get that OP's question is simply whether the suit is real or fake, but I can't get past the fact that we're not...

SPIER & MACKAY - Official Affiliate Thread

I own this one and the grey-and-white stripe version and get quite a bit of wear out of them. I was a bit nervous about the Johnny collar/lack of buttons, but it doesn't hang open deep enough to show my (substantial) chest hair. Same (nice) cotton and (slim) fit as the short sleeve versions...

    Brioni Suit: Real or Fake?

The Made in Italy tag looks super crooked from these pics. On that basis alone, I'm voting fake. Edit: If this is real, and it's the case that the threads attaching the tag have unraveled, either Brioni workmanship ain't what it used to be or this thing has been worn hard. Either way, it's a...

I don’t need a jacket on a 70 degree day, but man this thing feels good.

I bought the Aabba camp collar shirt jacket that matches the pants linked below last year and think the quality is excellent. It's very soft and plush. Not sure what you mean by "floppy," but it does have 3% elastane, which gives it a comfortable amount of stretch...

$373.50 for the Valstar and $160 for the Thuyas. The Valstar arrived yesterday and is awesome. I’ll get a ton of wear out of it this Fall on non-rainy days.

Right?! Like the vast majority of forumites, I definitely did not need either another pair of shoes or another jacket, but these two items were so unique and such a steal that I had no choice. Or at least that's what I plan on telling my fiance when she questions me about why a shoe box-shaped...

Cannot believe the stuff that was available in larger sizes this time around. The Instagram videos you guys do are amazing and gave me the confidence to order two brands I've never purchased before. Looking forward to the F/W drops.

Have you tried the non-neo suits? I think the neo cut jackets have slightly wider shoulders with a bit more room in the upper back. If you're worried about going down a full size, it might be worthy exchanging for one of the non-neo models to see if it fits cleaner in the upper back.

Unfortunately, no, this is first season that I'm aware of for the cotton long-sleeve polo sweaters. I'm a broken record as well, because I've complained before about the shrinkage of the long-sleeve merino wool polo sweaters, but I thought the risk was worth it, given my experience with the...

I wear the short sleeve versions all summer long. They would not be my first choice for an outdoor event when temps get to 85 degrees and above, but they wear cool enough for a 20 minute walk to lunch on hot days. I doubt I'll be wearing this long-sleeve version much during the hottest part...

Really loving Spier’s decision to go all in in the sweater polos. I’m gonna pick up a few more short sleeve versions and hope for some long sleeve solids. This is an XXL. Haven’t washed yet; but I’ve laundered the short sleeve versions regularly for about two years without significant shrinkage
