Tom Ford milanese lapel button holes

For someone who taught himself how to sew milanese button holes, I am afraid you are wrong. I also own enough TF pieces to say they are not standardised as there are flaws if you look closely. I had pieces where the back stitched is so far off to the gimp, you can tell they messed it up and...

Fake or Real (Authentic, Genuine, etc.) -- Official Authentication Thread

Is 100% real, the reps can't do the fabric tag font properly. The finishing are all TF quality. I owned the puffy jacket verison of this, but sold it as the asymmetrical zip bothers me when I wear the jacket like a blazer.

    Tom Ford

Yeah you have to compare the same suit in a R in the same season. The reason I know this is because a friend of mine bought a brand new TF 3 piece Windsor from Selfridges. He was a 48 and initially tried on the R. With the R it was too long for him on the arms and body, but it fits his torso, so...

Yes.. It denotes C for short L for Long. Bear in mind, short will also mean the torso are also a bit wider, it is not just "shorter" but slightly wider.

    Tom Ford

I'm lucky to say I own around 20+ Tom Ford suits (I actually lost count) and numerous blazers. I have been wearing TF since 2009 and my experience is, sizing varies season to season even in the same model/cut. My favourite is Base A (Windsor) and I have suits/blazers vary from 46R to 52R (with...

Tom Ford suit “made in Italy”

Anything made in China and Spain are uniform. It was China first and then Spain. If you look at the inner pocket of your waist coat you should see a code UNITFC. In saying the above, there are Italian made charcoal uniforms as well. The constructions for all uniforms are the same as retail...

how can i repair a rip in my suit pant

The costs probably gonna cost more than the trousers due to the pattern. Another thing OP can do is call Tom Ford and see they have the fabric to re-make that panel.

The Hong Kong BaoTou Tailors and Fabric Shops for CMT Thread

I personally prefer windsor with the full width trousers. The level of detail a lot of tailors had copied reasonably well now but can't get a lot of the finer ones like the curved trouser pockets and the chest padding correct without buckling the roll of the lapel.

The Hong Kong BaoTou Tailors and Fabric Shops for CMT Thread

Maybe actually get a Tom Ford and get him to copy it? I send my Tom Ford suits to my MK tailor in HK and had some semi good results for 1.5k HKD for 3 piece it wasn't bad.

Tom Ford Buckley Base Pinstripe Three-Piece Wool Suit, Charcoal

I think is a Falconer, as Base E is Buckley. Is a very old suit, TF stopped using BASE to indicate the style for like 7-8 yrs now and this is the first type of style tag,as all TF suits have their name on the tag now. If you friend want an estimate price for this, she will be lucky to get...

Interested to see the asking price as these prices quoted seems a little too high

TOM FORD James Bond Knitted Sleeve Down Bomber Jacket 48/38

I don't want to be harsh, this is not the "Spectre" Solden jacket. I know TF has done tonnes of these shell downs (I have 4 including the Spectre one), just want to clarify as most people know most TF JB stuff carries a premium. Actual Spectre jacket...

    Wedding Tuxedo Advice Appreciated

I have a Savile Row trained tailor who does my alterations, so I'm pretty lucky. For anything that's needs finishing, I send it to Tom Ford (in live in London so I have 3 places to choose from including the TF Boutique) as TF for example has a certain way to finish their workable trousers cuff...

    Wedding Tuxedo Advice Appreciated

I think Tom Ford in general are closer fitting with its cuts. But in saying that the Windsor for me is the best (I am lucky enough to own more than 20 TF suits and multiple blazers). It depends on the OP body type. If OP is triangle like me (I'm more a 39 drop 7/8) with broad shoulders. I coast...

    Tom ford elkan boots

Although I love your way of thinking, I am not exactly sure how that will work. We all know Zegna Courture makes TF suits. Do you think you can convince Zegna to sell you TF suits directly at a discounted prices?

    Wedding tie for blue suit

Sorry I don't mean is a current trend.. But a trend for years. For me a bow tie should be a proper one that you need to tie yourself, not those pre tied ones you can get etc. Personally it will look worse with a 3 piece suit as funny enough people wear bow ties casually now, think of a shirt and...

    Wedding tie for blue suit

Personally I hate bow ties in a normal suit. I find it very tacky and is a trend for a lot of people which doesn't seem to be going away. IMHO bow tie should be for a tux or reserved for some eccentric academics. One thing my friend said to me was, if you look back at your photos years later...
