Just got the tie today. That was fast! I think the length will be all right. The front and back blades are nearly the same length, but it's no problem. On a lark, I tied it in a Pratt knot just to see what would happen. It's definitely bigger than a Windsor with a regular tie, though maybe not...- dasai

When is the Next Brooks Brothers Sale?
The Japanese site has actual garment measurements. Cambridge fit looks to be the same as Fitzgerald in the shoulders and sleeves, but half an inch shorter in overall length. So, yes, it's shorter, but not stupidly short like the Black Fleece stuff. Granted, even Fitzgerald fit is about half...- dasai

How wide are your belts? Men's dress belts are typically no more than one-and-a-quarter inches or so; belts wider than that are more casual.- dasai

I think the general feeling is that black shoes look too stark with anything other than charcoal or black. Of course, the "rules" are never hard and fast, except among the Style Police.:) That said, I think a burgundy shoe would go well with navy.- dasai

The most important thing is not their length compared to each other, but their length compared to your arms. Do they both come down to the wrist bones on each arm (and no further)? If so, there is no problem.- dasai
