New Canali Suit. Would this shoe and tie combo work?
tie is nice, but may not look very good with a grey suit depending on how close the shades are. The pattern on the toe of the shoes is horrific. If this is a business setting, find some different footwear- Quadcammer

What do you wear on your feet in your house?

thats odd. I'm 6ft 180ish and i wear the extra slim fit from cT and find them to fit but not be tight. The classic fit has gotta be huge.- Quadcammer

yuck. I wear a square regularly. 95% of the time its a white linen tv fold. the remainder are varying shades of white, blue, burgundy etc.- Quadcammer

actually quality of construction and materials is also an opinion. The AE shoe isn't much better, but the lack of the austerity wingtip helps. I don't see anyone singing the praises of that shoe either. Just so we're clear, the shoe is not ugly because its CH, its ugly cause its ugly.- Quadcammer

right. Everybody knows its xmas time. wearing small pieces of red and green can work nicely and really add to a holiday theme. Getting crazy with loud ties, mixed up pocket squares, etc, will just make you silly. Moderation is the key here. Less is most definitely more.- Quadcammer

the guy's got a point. If they are italian CH, they are probably fairly decent. The reason you got them for $60 because no one else wanted them...and thats cause they are ugly.
