MEGA PEACOAT THREAD - 61 threads merged - all Peacoat questions HERE

I have the jcrew peacoat with thinsulate; pretty darn warm. I think the pros of the jcrew one is that with thinsulate, it's probably going to be warmer if you need it (I'm in VT, i prefer not having to break out the parka every time its under 30). It probably fits better too. At the same...

MEGA PEACOAT THREAD - 61 threads merged - all Peacoat questions HERE

I go to Middlebury College, it's been below freezing for a few of the past days I think. Pretty irritating.

    J. Crew Fall/Winter 2011 Discussion

Quality of the factory shirts is total ****, sweaters are pretty bad too. I do have an indigo workshirt that is actually pretty nice though. in general I'd stay away from the factory stuff.

MEGA PEACOAT THREAD - 61 threads merged - all Peacoat questions HERE

I had to get the Jcrew in S because the XS was too tight (no room for a sweater or something underneath). Club Monaco XS was essentially perfect, it was right in between. JCrew small has just a little fabric in the chest for me, but mostly a non-issue since it allows for more layering, which...

    J. Crew Fall/Winter 2011 Discussion

No I was in NY. The men's shop in Soho wouldn't do it even though a floor guy said they would, but then i went to another and told them that the men's store would've and so they let me stack lol.

MEGA PEACOAT THREAD - 61 threads merged - all Peacoat questions HERE

I got the jcrew bayswater peacoat, will post later. I live in VT so hopefully the thinsulate helps out when it gets really cold. That said, I really really liked the fit of the club monaco peacoat in XS. Literally perfect. But it was more expensive, probably not as warm so i didn't get it. the...

    J. Crew Fall/Winter 2011 Discussion

I picked up the bayswater peacoat with 25% off+15% student discount. It's pretty awesome; heavy, warm, and has thinsulate. should hold up on most cold days in VT. i'll post some pics later.

Club Monaco: Adventures in decent clothing and horrible marketing

Club Monaco's peacoat has a sick fit, but at 300 it was too much. Hopefully there are still some left when the winter sale comes along and its <200

    The Uniqlo Thread

Went to the 5th ave and soho stores yesterday, could not for the life of me find a toggle coat in small or XS.

    Slim Fit Khaki's/Chino's

Gotta say that after washing my alpha khakis, the fit is pretty spot on. When it comes to jeans I like them skinnier, but these khakis are fine for khakis; slim, fairly tapered, but not skinny so they aren't quite as casual.

Club Monaco: Adventures in decent clothing and horrible marketing

^Can't say any other brand has a fit like CM. I was totally impressed when I tried on their chambrays/oxfords. I haven't tried the Jcrew slim line though; that might fit in a similar way though.

Ask A Question, Get An Answer... - Post All Quick Questions Here (Classic menswear)

http://imgur.com/KUQoD I'm a college sophomore, got a job at DKNY this summer. Figured I might as well pick up the suit since its like 75% off for me. The pants fit okay (not in pic), but I think this jacket needs a bit of waist supression? Cell phone pic from work

    The Uniqlo Thread

I found the OCBD had a bit of poofiness in the back. Fabric was nice, though the club monaco one had a better slim fit

    J Crew Spring/Summer 2011 Discussion

Got the henley hoodie, it is pretty awesome. It's slim through the arms and body, and is super soft. also easy to pop over and run out.

    Best inexpensive jeans?

Got the Division 7's, like them a lot. If you like levis 511 and similar skinnier jeans, I'd get them, it's a total steal. Not a true raw, selvedge jean though.
