Seriously! Spot on, I suspect alot of this has got to be the rarity and beauty factor. At a certain point you rarely see such nice croc that the consumer assume it is supremely expensive and almost impossible to get, just like the croc kelly bag. There is tremendous marketing impact here...- Xenon

Can these pink shoes be dyed to oxblood?
Any shoe or leather is extremely dye-able. Fiebings and other companys make dyes just for this very purpose. The pink would also be extremely easy to dye and very appropriate as a base for any browns or blues or blacks. Just go to any cobbler and this will be any easy task. If the leather is...- Xenon

Can non Goodyear welted shoes be re-soled?
Ok here goes The reality is that resoling any shoes in 2013 is hit or miss. However a good cobler can easily resole goodyear and blake-rapid (the rapid part is important here) shoes properly. Concave heels/cuban heels are incredibly nice and you are starting to see this more often in bespoke. Saion and Fukaya also have a couple that are nice. I find them particularly appropriate for visible heel heights higher than 1.25". I wouldn't dream of not using them on my own shoes- Xenon

Just expanding on this. If you are going for Dormeuil's 150's I assume this is their 15.8. The cloth alone is roughly 600. Perhaps another $100 for the real silk lining. 15.8 is light weight cloth and most tailors will want to use some fusing. If you really specify no fusing what so ever...- Xenon

Shoe lasts for narrow heels

You took the words right out of my mouth. If you are going all one type of skin and same color then the only resonable approach is the fewest pieces possible and the fewest visible seems. The showcase should be the skin and last shape in that case. You can really see this in the EG above...- Xenon
