"Eaton's of Canada" Shoes -- what do you know about this brand?

You're welcome. Lotion them to keep them soft and supple. They were probably made by Church's of England for Eatons. To answer your question; I own several pair of Hartt, Dack's, (both by Hartt and Church's) but no longer have my McHales, which I let go years ago (now regrettably) and old...

"Eaton's of Canada" Shoes -- what do you know about this brand?

suitforcourt, those appear to be of early 1970s vintage. If memory serves, though they may look plasticy, the uppers are rather soft leather, yes?

"Eaton's of Canada" Shoes -- what do you know about this brand?

Your shoes were made in the early 1980s by Hartt. Those are solid but will be very thirsty. Hope you generously and repeatedly lotioned them before wearing. Good find!

Things That Are Bothering You, Got You All Hibbeldy-Jibbeldy, or just downright pissed, RIGHT NOW!

My bank just re-opened after 2 weeks after being closed for 'improvements'. Know what the improvements were? No more tellers. No more bank books. Just a wide open space with a sofa adorned with Facebook and Twitter pillows. and a caring staff of people all half my age telling me how cool the new...

    Do you brush cotton blazers?

I've never heard of a blazer in cotton. Did someone re-define the term 'blazer'? For a cotton jacket, I would take it outside and shake the hell out of it, if the need be. Welcome to Styleforum. :fonz:

What Movies Are You Watching Lately

I am currently going through some old Film Noire and other black and white favourites. D.O.A., The Postman Always Rings Twice, Kiss Of Death, etc. I enjoy watching these films for the clothes and for the nostalgia. Invasion Of The Body Snatchers is next on my list, followed by The Incredible...

    Help determining zegna jacket issues

Something is definitely wrong on those shoulders and pecs. It looks like fusing seperation as well as indentations on top. The back appears to have been altered to near simian proportions. If it hasn't been altered, maybe the previous owner was of the simian persuation and wore a backpack while...

The Suits of Spectre (2015), the latest Bond film

How is the reading coming along? Live and Let Die was the first of the Bond books I remember reading and it was well written. I should read them again myself as they would probably all be new to me over again.

Color suggestion for hats and scarfs to match with a sand jacket?

With a sand coloured jacket and pale complexion, one cannot go wrong with a nice Burgundy or Kelly Green scarf. Multi-coloured scarves are also timeless fun. Welcome to Styleforum Gorilla. EDIT- A hat (example- a wide-brimmed fedora) in a darker Taupe colour will go with virtually any jacket...

    shoe construction...behind the veil

Ringing in very late on this thread, but wouldn't tight stitching as posted above weaken the leather along the seam lines?
