    Kent Wang - Affiliate thread

Looks great, and is tempting me to buy $300 worth of goods. The option to narrow down the displayed shirts by size doesn't work properly. I asked it to display only shirts in size 15 - it didn't eliminate any, and when I clicked on one I found that it wasn't available in that size.

Good bespoke tailor or MTM suits in western Canada (pref Vancovuer)?

It could be that there's someone new in town, but if not, I'd encourage you to check out this thread for a thorough (11 page!) discussion of the options in Vancouver: http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=21066

    Thick as Thieves ONLINE

The jacket looks great, other than the curious bunching. The fabric looks fantastic! My "other feedback" would be to tuck your pocket square in another .75", for sure. And lose the beard, but keep the mustache and grow a bottom lip tab. The beard looks too much like Ron Howard trying not to look...

    Thick as Thieves ONLINE

I ordered a suit back in September, and I've finally gotten around to taking pictures. The suit is a 3-button in the "upgraded" medium grey. It's a pretty lightweight fabric, which I appreciate. As I mentioned a few pages back, I had lots of fit issues with the trousers. I still haven't gotten...

    Thick as Thieves ONLINE

Received TAT suit pretty quickly. In 3 weeks!!! The fit is pretty good, jacket is a little tight. Sent the suit to be pressed, but am a bit worried since they only charged me $5.95 to do it by hand. I hope they followed my instructions since the suit has MOP buttons. Will post pix once the suit...

    Thick as Thieves ONLINE

I'm thinking of buying a flexible navy blazer. Jason suggested the following style / fabric. Let me know what you all think, i'll post pics when they arrive. -lightweight flannel -MOP buttons -2 button with a wider lapel (2.75") -topstitched lapels -flap patch pockets -topstitched around...

PSA - Thin Red Line shirt clearance - £9.99

How much ... in my case the order is pretty small. 60 GBP - the customs presumably has to be connected with the value of goods coming through/ Technically, duties are payable on any import over CDN$20 in value; it's just a matter of whether customs notices it (I think they assess a random...

    Why Facial Hair?

Have you tried changing the way you shave? Good razor, hydrated skin, all that? One of the website articles discusses that. Of course, maybe not you, but after a while guys often become attached to their facial hair and don't want to shave unless have to. Yes. It's a lot better than it used to...

    Why Facial Hair?

I started because of shaving. Not that I don't like shaving (there are few things as satisfying as a good wet shave), but my skin is sensitive enough that I can't shave more than every other day (and once every three days is better). I found that it was easier, more comfortable, and better...

Anyone else tired of the slim fitting trend?

I agree people shouldn't wear clothes that are too tight. I don't think it's a trend. There have always been people that wear tight clothes that shouldn't. I think this photo is a poor example of your point - do you really think this man would look better in a larger t-shirt? Men of this...

    Thick as Thieves ONLINE

I received my order on Friday - a medium grey three-button, with the jacket slightly longer than house cut. I love the style, and the fit is generally very good, with the following issues: - The armholes are tight against the fronts of my arms, which is a bit uncomfortable. Jason said the high...

Buying and Selling forum vs Ebay

I think I'm the same way. When I shop on ebay, I expect to be getting a fantastic deal, and if I can't, I won't buy. When I shop here, I expect to get a fair deal.

    Shoes: style or comfort?

For me, style first. Once I can afford to be picky, I'll go for shoes that are both stylish and comfy, but for now, I'm restricted to shoes I can find cheaply in B&S or on ebay. They have to be the right size, of course, but I'm not going to pass up a good pair of shoes because they're not...

Anyone else tired of the slim fitting trend?

RE: the GQ approach. If I'm not mistaken, I just flipped through an issue that suggested to shop for a suit you needed to "find one that fits, and then buy the next size down." Silly me and my tailoring bills - I've been doing it all wrong! I'm going to assume (i.e. hope) that what they're...

AE shoes too formal with dress slack?

As I understand it, brogues (shoes with perforations, like the Strand and Evanston) are actually less dressy than plain captoes. As for the Park Ave vs the Soho, they're both plain captoes, just on slightly different lasts. I don't see how one could be dressier than the other. In any case, all...

    Darting a RLBL dress shirt?

darting RLBL? You must be skinny. I have a 35" chest and 29" waist. I was thinking of picking up a RLBL shirt from B&S recently, and I compared the measurements provided with a TM Lewin slim fit shirt I already had. The RLBL was bigger, and even the TM Lewin has some extra room around the waist...

Average markup on the stuff on Buy & Sell

Perhaps it would be more pertinent to ask people how much they mark items up, and derive an average from the poll, rather than asking people to speculate on the average markup.

How well does this shirt fit (w/ pics)

I see you have the same problem I do - buy a shirt to fit your neck, and everything else is too big. The chest looks about right. The shoulders are too wide, the sleeves are too long, and it should be narrower at the waist, especially around the back.

Buying shoes on the internet vs. in the store...

@laughter95 & @hth2002, I'm not sure I understand your math. I live in the United States. If I were to order the Westbournes from Pediwear the total including shipping would be 431.755 USD. I have the option of returning the shoes at my own cost if they don't fit. You have to admit that...

Well done! The vest is definitely a nice touch.
