Wearing shoes inside the house?
We don't wear shoes inside; why bring in all the crap into your home that was on the floor outside. (I'm asian and was never allowed to wear shoes inside - just socks or slippers). Just upped my collection by one - I was a little hesitant about getting a second pair of PTBs, but they look great and I don't at all regret my decision. Great looking shoes. I've never heard of this shoe company. Beautiful nevertheless. Enjoy your shoes.- adfan

Gents, The price has now come down to $299 a pair. Not to complain about the price, but why are these shoes so cheap? Especially in light of the fact that Alden Shell Chukkas run about $550 and up. I'm about to pull the trigger - I just have to find them in a 13D. Anyone know how they fit in...- adfan

Allen Edmonds Shell Cord Burgundy = Alden Shell #8?
I would have to agree with Omega Man's statement regarding the color. I have the AE Leeds cordovan in the burgundy and the Alden in the #8. I would say that the Alden #8 is more pleasant to look at and goes well with most of my outfit. I personally look the Alden - look wise, comfort, and...- adfan

What do you think of the AE MacNeil in cordovan? ...
I have both the Alden Long Wing and the AE MacNeil. Before setting your heart set on the AE - here are my thoughts regarding these two shoes - (I personally like the Aldens) : -yes, the AE is made with Horween Shell leather -Alden heel support is better. The AE - slips to much in the heel...- adfan

My car - 1989 Mercedes 560 SEL - built like a tank. They sure don't build them like they used to. While I love the look of the new Mercedes, I've heard nothing but nightmares from friends and mechanics about the complexity of the new models. I, too, am somewhat suprised by the number familiar with Hanguk-oh on here. I can blunder my way through a little survival Korean, and can read/write it at a very low level. Fairly decent (but rusty) with French and Spanish - French is the compulsory second language that all kids in England...- adfan

Versatility and Look the most important criteria. Tan forefront, snuff background. Disregard laces. I was in the same dilemma. Anyone speak more than two languages
I speak English and Korean. I may try taking Japanese again. Japanese is so similar to Korean - levels of speaking, tone, etc. My wife says that I speak Kong-Lish = screwed up Korean / English blend. Regards- adfan

So much for a clean tour; Velonews reports that Mikel Astarloza tests positive for EPO, UCI says. He won, stage 16 of this year's TDF.
