Random Fashion Thoughts (Part 3: Style farmer strikes back) - our general discussion thread

@LA Guy my friend @OccultaVexillum is wondering why he was timed out and asks how long it's for? He needs to DM tracking information to someone who just bought something from him

I’ve been trying to buy one for YEARS. I even emailed the man himself and never got a response. I bug @conceptual 4est about ordering one for me to buy every year

Mine is a black label tag. But there were multiple productions of these. if it’s faked it would be an incredibly… unlucrative fake. It’s not a popular piece and honestly not easy to move.

Struges are taller in my experience. They sit slightly higher on the brow, though don't look too high because of the beveled edge. I have no issues with Sturges brushing on my cheek. Fellini fits lower than Sturges on me. Sturges are definitely slept on. They are a fantastic frame.

Are we still able to put SF listings in our signature with the image and everything? I remember we used to be able to put 3 listings in the sig but I can't find that option anymore...

Prudhon 100% of the way. To be honest I think Zephs are a bad frame for most people, unless you really lean into the design of it with your dress, I think it ends up flat or art school student (not that there's anything wrong with art school students. they're just quirky). Prudhon is an...

AR coating for $100? That's... insane. AR coating is VERY cheap to do, and do well too. Some people will try to justify it by saying "oh the coating will peel off for low quality stuff" which is true, but high quality coating also peels off or chips at the same rate. JMM stock lenses come with...

Hickory is a really great color. Highly recommend. Tan is also beautiful.

I’ve mentioned this before but this time I wanted to share some photos. Polywatch and a microfiber cloth is great for getting out those surface scratches and scuffs. I’ve been wearing my hickory Sturges a lot for the past month (honestly high up there on my favorite shapes) and when setting them...

That's actually perfect. Thank you! I picked up the Taos in tempest. Probably do dark blue polarized lens instead of the weird orange, yuck

I'm just going to keep posting back to back. Does anyone have pics of Tempest colorway worn or in natural lighting? Trying to gaugehow dark or light of a gray it actually is. Or just in general have opinions on Tempest?

Enzos are fantastic. My most worn pair, maybe, I think mine is Havana 3/4 or whatever. If you don't have the Sturges, it's a fantastic frame. Honestly I think one of their best -- it's super versatile and I think a major sleeper, and a great change from all the rectangular frames I have.

Yeah, the molino just kinda go with everything, but the slight frame taper and the beveled edge really make the Fellini stand out imo. People notice it more as "fashion" glasses but the Molino just blend in. Which colors did you get? I got the Argyle Fellini and Shironeri Molinos.

Yes, I got the 6slot (without JMM branding, but same exact case), and it's flimsy to be honest. Nothing special. The leather is soft in that "feels like fake leather" way, and it's all just kinda glued together. The velvet inside is also just whatever, and it just plain feels like it has a...

I might get them then. I only have a black pair of dealans but I didn't want too many black frames. I waffled a little bit on the lava Taos and they sold out. Although also considering havana 5 torino, love that high contrast. By the way I don't know if you ever ended up buying Fellini/Molino...

This is perfectly normal and happens because the arms are rubbing against your temple. It might mean your frames are too tight, depending on the fit. This has only happened to one of my frames, Enzos, but I imagine with more time the others will follow. Nothing to worry about!
