I would recommend blackjack dealer at an indian casino. I know there are a few in New York. Minimum wage plus tips which at a decent place can be $120/day. No college necessary, just clean credit/criminal record to get gaming license. Go to dealer school, for a few months to learn basic...

    The Excel Questions Thread

Just curious how long it took some of you Excel users to get to this level of expertise? Is this level of proficiency a result of everyday work experience or books read and course taken. I am currently beginning my Excel quest in school and would also like to one day be able to impress nerds...

Accountants: Do you like your job?

No I despise my job. Working as an accountant at this National firm is really hard work. You would expect 80+ hours a week just to be on your bosses radar for promotion. Promotions come very slow and there really is no way to move up besides going into business for yourself. If you're a public...

Accountants: Do you like your job?

Oh i forgot to say.... being a general ledger type accountant blows!!! Journal entries are annoying. All that type of thing is awful. It is better to start at an accounting firm and pay your dues as an auditor.. then get the CPA and go into a management position. But just doing the daily nuts...

Stop overthinking it/being a ***** and get both if you are that worried about it... at most it is 6-8 additional classes. Then you don't have to worry. It is not so much "being a *****," as you so eloquently put it, it's the fact that I work full-time dealing craps at a casino on the graveyard...
