    Pea Coat discussion

Hey chaps, I’ve just bought a very nice peacoat from Reiss in navy and was curious about what length was the general rule of thumb for peacoats. I normally wear quite heavy tweed sports coats in Winter, so don’t have any experience on the peacoat front. In terms of fit, the coat is about 2...

What Movies Are You Watching Lately

Did you see it in 3D? Probably the best use of 3D I have seen so far, incredible scenes at night and throughout.

What Movies Are You Watching Lately

I watched Life of Pi, last night. Fantastic film - warm hearted, very witty and also amazing to look at, very highly recommended.

What Movies Are You Watching Lately

Black Swan, I really liked this film, and while not excellent like The Wrestler, it is very good. I also watched Moonrise Kingdom. I had gotten a little tired of Wes Anderson after Fantastic Mr Fox and to a lesser extent The Life Aquatic - simply because his films had become so formulaic -...

What Movies Are You Watching Lately

Gattaca is one of my favourite films too, hurray for solidarity! (Watch someone come along and say it's ****)

A Death star pregnant belly is brilliant! I hope you did that and your new arrival is happy and healthy :)

That's cool OC, what do you like about the film so much? LOTS of spoilers below!!!

What Movies Are You Watching Lately

Requiem for a Dream. Terrible film and a huge misfire by Aronofsky compared to Pi, The Wrestler and Black Swan. I just couldn't get on board with the hugely unsympathetic characters, and scratchy jumpy cinematography and alarmist story.

What Movies Are You Watching Lately

Dredd 2012 - superb pulpy, ballistic film and a kick ass soundtrack. One of my favourite comic cons in a while. Pi - just started watching Aronofsky's films again - tonight will be Requiem for a Dream (no doubt fast forwarded to the ass to ass scene)

    Your favourite films of 2012

Thanks for your input Stephen :D

    Your favourite films of 2012

As per the title. Films released in 2012 and secondary to that, ones which you watched in 2012 and from any year: I'll go first: Headhunters Para Norman

    The Walking Dead (AMC)

My favourite zombie movies are: Dawn of the Dead original - brilliant and funny satire and film. Day of the Dead original. 28 Days Later Wasting Away - hilarious zombie film, very clever, very low budget.

    The Walking Dead (AMC)

As Hoozah says, it does seem painfully obvious - another black character comes along - they bump off the existing black guy. Perhaps this is the case and cultural bias (people, myself included are influenced to try and spot racism) or perhaps it's because I'm white, the black...

    The Walking Dead (AMC)

The last episode was quite good, but again failed based on silliness: Zombies are zero threat: Glen shatters a zombie bone with his bare hands and is not in the least afraid that a shard of bone or a rough edge will cut him and kill him. Michonne picks up a shard of glass from a fish tank full...

    De Procrastinate Your Life !

Yeah, I definitely think I'll need it! That's an interesting link though. Oh I definitely intend to ditch the next addictive machine, that's why I'd get rid of the TV altogether - so I don't replace xbox gaming with excessive film watching. Thom - yes, my idea was to replace xbox and...

What Movies Are You Watching Lately

I thought Liam Neeson was great as always, but it just stretched believability too much. Yeah that was one such scene, he just took off his wet jacket and kept walking, although did succumb to hypothermia by the time of the wallet scene. I did really like the part where he said "****...

What Movies Are You Watching Lately

Watched a bit of pulp last night - The Grey. Really a mediocre film - the Jaws like actions of the wolves made it a bit silly. As did the inability of the men to make long spears and walk in a tight bunch.

    De Procrastinate Your Life !

Today I was thinking that between X Box Live and Facebook, I must waffle away at least 4 hours every day. I therefore started thinking about lending out my X Box and my TV, to prevent me both playing games and then replacing that with watching movies. I'm also thinking about having 3 months...

    The Walking Dead (AMC)

To be honest, and I may have been a spazz here - but I thought it was just him shading in the lines, in a "meat, bone, blood" American Psycho/ The Shining type madness.
