Split toes are more elegant than the gunboats. I’d love to find pairs in black and brown.

Could you get a couple of pics of the interior lining? How do they feel? Do you see the vertical tuft stitches I mentioned?

A pair of vintage, brown, AE longwings recently sold on David’s watchlist. (Not mine). My limited experience with AE is that they have the most comfortable interiors. Would this be due to the vertical tufting stitches of their glove-leather lining?

And the color. Not sure if the color is “cognac” or Me too, bro. I also have a black pair, with the slightly taller heels, like your squeaky brown pair🤘

How to soften/renew a can of kiwi black wax? I haven’t used it in about a year and a half. It’s pretty stiff.

On second thought, perhaps it would be best to double v-cleat all my brown pairs. A very good cobbler gave me a set of new cleats a few years ago. Is this something good cobblers might have sitting around? I haven't found any since. I'll check supply house websites. Anyway, it wouldn't be...

So, black shoes with black rubber soles and heels is a no-brainer. But my brown shoes. I much prefer a better-than-new, tanned leather look. I generally clean, strip, smooth, dye, and sometimes wax the edges in order to approximate or compliment the uppers. Yes, I wax my edges while using no...
