Interesting… I can understand your concerns, and I have experienced similar wear on a pair of horsehide bluchers around the heal, but I’ve had them for a long time and beat the heck out of them. I will say that every pair of shell or horsehide leather I’ve owned seems to be more susceptible to...

How was your experience buying directly from UES? Their website looks pretty sketchy and I didn’t see info on shipping costs to USA, so a little skeptical.

I’ve started going a half size down from my Barrie last sizing (10D) in Viberg 2030 last (9.5D) and actually find they fit better. That said, the Vibergs were a tiny bit tight at first and I had to break them in a bit by wearing thick socks and wearing around the house. I don’t know if I’d...

I’m sorry, $1.7k for color 8?! That’s ridiculous for non-exotic shell imo, but hey, smoke ‘em if ya got ‘em!

Definitely not normal and they should replace or repair imo. I have pair of Grenson Chelsea boots and they’ve never showed that type of wear. Almost looks like it was deadstock material and dry-rot ate up the cotton portion of the stretch section.

The guy working the sales floor didn’t seem to have much info, or wasn’t feeling very talkative at least, so not 100% sure. I asked if I could go check it out and take a photo and he didn’t seem thrilled about that prospect, and fair enough. The Boots looked like a 310 in some type of textured...

I happened to be in Victoria last week, and figured I’d make the pilgrimage to Viberg. I honestly just wanted to stock up on a few pairs of laces, brushes, etc (stuff I’m too cheap to pay shipping from CAN), but pleasantly surprised to see about a dozen pairs that I guess were either archive...

Hi, posting a couple follow up pics of the Uplands Hi, wanted to post a couple follow up photos of the Noix Eco Upland chukka boots. Been wearing them daily for the last three weeks and they fit like a glove! Unlined, so to caves in a bit but I’m hoping it turns out like a Clinch! 😝

Do you have a photo comparison? I’ve got an 8 year old pair of 2030 service boots and just got a pair of Uplands on the archive sale. The Uplands are Vibergs chukka style and has a very tight heel and looks much dressier and similar to Alden. I was assuming this was just because of the last...

I wonder how much of Viberg’s success as a brand originated from your post. Nice boots!

Got my pair of Uplands in the Noix Eco, and so far I’m a very enthusiastic and optimistic “Meh”…. First, they are much more refined than any other Vibergs I’ve owned, and remind me more of a better quality/more robust Alden. The leather is very soft, but I must admit I don’t love the...
