The Japanese Repro Clothing Thread (Real McCoys, Freewheelers, Etc.)

Designer in the sense of putting the R&D work into developing proprietary materials and patterns yes, but not insofar as design or 'lifestyle sale' is concerned. When you buy a pair of Buzz Rickson khakis you're buying some real nice solid pants, but you're not being charged for a designer's...

The Japanese Repro Clothing Thread (Real McCoys, Freewheelers, Etc.)

I'm still pretty heavy on the repro style but I have to say, especially after lately dipping my toes back into 'designer' fashion i.e Visvim/The Row/Auralee it's shocking how luxurious something like a Real McCoy's sweater is.

I've been going untucked a lot lately when I'm just around the house but when I step out I always tuck unless I have a sweater on perhaps.

Random Fashion Thoughts (Part 3: Style farmer strikes back) - our general discussion thread

I picked up a Broncos one on Etsy after I attended a game in Denver in 2015! One day I was wearing it and noticed someone had sewn a lighter into the sleeve lining, assumedly for concert smuggling. My wife feels secondhand embarrassment when I wear it but it is quite comfortable.

Understood! I'm certainly going to keep it in mind for the fall, once i've unloaded the last of my Gore Tex. Thank you very much!

I thought these McCoy 2 pack tees were nice but the Samurai 2 pack... that might be the real winner

Hello, I hope it's not inappropriate to ask you directly for sizing advice. Im about 177cm, typically a 36 in North America but I've always had a tricky time with English makers, I'm very interested in your trench coat in cosmos, and curious if you would recommend a XS or S?

Thats fascinating, is there any correlation between that and actual loopwheel tees being a little pricier?

For the sake of knowledge, what experience do you guys have with putting loopwheeled gear in the dryer? Fwiw I gave a couple of Warehouse sweatshirts to my wife, they fit her far better than me, and she's gone away for a month so I inspected a few of her garments. One of them has evidently went...

That's a good question that I unfortunately don't know the answer too. I've ordered from them a few times but never even considered it!

Leather Jackets: Post Pictures of the Best You've Seen/Owned?

Buzz Rickson has produced a leather peacoat under their William Gibson line twice now, I own the earlier version. Lost Worlds will also custom make you a leather peacoat!

I see! well as far as pattern's are concerned they do not lack in authenticity.. check out Buzz Rickson as well as they do in fact directly copy the art from vintage jackets, the same goes for the few Eastman jackets that have art. If there's a particular squadron or nose art that you want it is...

I do not own one but if I was to buy an A-2 it would certainly be from Toys. Most of their jacket artwork is simply inspired by vintage jackets, I believe the owner of the company hand paints all of the garments himself(?).. It's a bit more of a playful aesthetic than Buzz Rickson or somesuch...

It's some kind of 90's Levi's Vintage Clothing reproduction, perfectly legitimate if that's what you're concerned about!

If we're counting stores that integrate proxy services into their web design then store.w-river.com (Western River/West Ride) and toys-mccoys.shop-pro.jp both use World Shipping, I've found this very reliable. Also, your regional Real McCoy's retailer will be more than happy to special order...

Can't recommend this shop highly enough, i've bought from him a few times now and last time i placed my order on a Friday and he overnighted the package so it showed up on my doorstep on Monday, unreal service!

Looks legit.. i believe the idea with Dubbleworks is that it's a little more accessible than Warehouse.

Buy something unwashed and give it a hot wash and dry with lots of spin i think that's the only way anything would end up that short brand new... my made in USA Mister Freedom ranch blouse is actually the shortest jacket i have... about 21" back length but it's seen some serious laundering...
