What TV Series Are You Streaming Lately?

Agreed, it was extremely well done. Almost all compositions could've been a beautiful photograph, taking good advantage of the high contrast black & white. Also great cast in all the smaller parts, perfectly directed. And after... a certain turn of events it becomes suitably nightmarish. Good stuff.

Poul Anderson: The Broken Sword, 1954. 'I hear hoofbeats,' she whispered. 'I hear hoofs galloping out on the edge of the world. It is Time, riding forth, and snow falls from his horse's mane and lightning crashes from its hoofs, and when Time has ridden by like a wind in the night there are...

Lord Dunsany: The King of Elfland's Daughter, 1924. Dan Simmons: The Fall of Hyperion, 1990. "There are those AIs which do not want to build God. They learned from the human experience that to construct the next step in awareness is an invitation to slavery, if not actual extinction." This completes the duology started by Hyperion - which I...

    What are you reading?

Neuromancer was a bit of a hard read for me (Gibson flies through cyberspace at such break-neck speeds that it can be hard to keep up), but I'm still planning to pick up the next two Sprawls and start them off with a re-read of Neuromancer. For the first book, I'll suggest picking up the nice...

Alastair Reynolds: House Of Suns, 2008. "Given the evidence at our disposal, only a fool would put any faith in the organic and the machine living harmoniously for the rest of time."
