How to have a modern/clean look while stuck with carpet

this is probably not up to the buildings standards, or even that of sound transfer etc, but what is under the carpet? if it is just a thin underlayment then concrete floors could be pretty wild. i doubt the building would go for this though. thered be a cost to finishing the concrete or pouring...

    The Architecture Thread

Just a patron for awhile, and I unfortunately live close to it. Besides that I hate Koolhaas's style, here are my main complaints with this building in particular: * It's difficult to get around in and find materials. They forgot to add in escalators going down on the upper floors and it feels...

    The right corduroy pants...

I like these less than the Clarks that you posted both in terms of fit and color. I agree that the pleats do not flatter your already (admittedly) larger thighs, but they also seem to be a size too large. yes. +1 i think the old photos are much more flattering. length, color & fit all better...

cowboys to dump TO, should the giants...gulp....grab him?

Fitz, or Boldin? Fitz just got signed coming into this year, IIRC. And hating TO is at least one thing Eagles and Giants fans can agree on. Edit - to answer your question, yes, as an Eagles fan I absolutely think the Giants should sign him. I'm sure Eli will be able to keep him in check. i...

How long will 'slim fit' last?

I refuse to return to the dark days when I used to wear a 'tent' for a shirt and a 'sack of potatoes' for pants. (not necessarily excluding the potatoes of course) lol In all seriousness, I read an article about men's clothing that had some interesting thoughts. They basically said that the...

Feast your eyes on these homes

No. A house built with modern energy efficient techniques will heat and cool more efficiently than the same-sized house built "the old way." duh. my point was that 8,000 SF is more often than not wasteful space..
