No, they weren't. They were quite backed up on tailoring work when I purchased the trousers.

I would also be interested in this. My pair of Spier & Mackay cream fresco trousers need a new lining but of my two usual tailors, one wouldn't do it and the other quoted $150.

To revisit a topic from a few pages back, I was one of those who leaped at the $50 cream fresco trousers and am very much looking forward to getting the lining switched out so I can wear them. I've picked up some Bemberg lining to be installed but haven't had any luck finding a tailor to do the...

I don't have experience with Peter Feeney but did commission a pair of oxfords from Nasser Vies. The process was very pleasant and Nasser was excellent to deal with. He made a set of trial shoes to get the sizing and last shape down before moving on to the final product. He also hand welts...

So happy you bought these. I absolutely didn’t need them but was going to be forced to pull the trigger at that price. No willpower.

I went this morning but my feedback is going to be of limited value since I was really only looking for one thing. RC had lots of t-shirts (olive green in particular), sweatshirts (with and without logo; olive plus some basic navy, grey, black), sweat pants, varsity jackets, and hoodies. I was...

This sale seems to be flying under the radar. There's a thread on Reddit with basically the same information but no confirmation from W&H or RC on Facebook or Twitter. Is anyone going? I was planning to drop in tomorrow if the sale is actually happening.

This is minor, but a touch I appreciate with some cardigans such as the Smedley below. An extra button above the last button is really useful to keep the waistband from opening too widely without resorting to buttoning the bottom button and going to Styleforum jail.

Agreed. Perhaps a collaboration with Northern Watters?

Qu'est-ce que vous chantez? Nous chantons les Rouges Allez ! The keys to the city are being cut for Giovinco, Altidore, Bradley, and Vasquez. Excuse me while I duck out for the championship parade.

The tweed overcoat is a great suggestion. I seem to be in the minority but I found the wool-cashmere overcoat true to size and it fit me beautifully off the rack. It's a little snug with a suit coat underneath but definitely wearable with or without one.

I was in earlier this week to compare the two. In terms of fit, I couldn't detect any difference though they drape a little differently since the wool-cashmere is lighter. The wool-cashmere is a step up in formality. I'm comfortable wearing a top coat with (nice) jeans but the melton would be a...

I was out in Mississauga today and stopped by the shop to try this one on. It's a very nice piece and fit true to size for me. At the price it would have been a no-brainer but I ended up going with the wool-cashmere topcoat instead. Thanks for twisting my arm on that one, Rick.

Thanks for the update. Will probably give it a miss then since I would have been after winter scarves and Smedleys.

I always enjoy The Great Button Debate so thanks for opening it up again, Rick. It does seem as if most on here prefer the current dimensions with a higher stance. I prefer the flexibility of a traditional (lower) second button that allows me to comfortably leave only the top button undone. As...

I know the Blackwatch sale has just started, but has anyone been yet? I'm debating dropping by this afternoon but it's slightly out of the way.

Yep. On the bright side, it's only a 6-month contract. Gives us a chance to find a manager with Championship experience in the summer.

Poor Jozy. Not his best game yesterday. Wonder if the New York fans had him rattled. In other head-scratching news, are my Hammers really on the verge of announcing our new manager is David Moyes?

Interesting weekend. Solid result for Barcelona over a decent Sevilla side. City are starting to open up a gap in England. For the sake of the competition, hopefully they stumble soon. I was at the Toronto FC v. New York RB match yesterday (are we allowed to talk MLS in this thread) for an...
